 First Semester Of College Recap                 For it being my first semester of college I would overall say it was a success. I came into college honestly not knowing what to expect, to be honest really. The reason I didn't know what to expect is because all these people tell me all this stuff about college and their experiences. Yes, they have been through college already and they have more experience than me but everyone ones experience in college is a lot different people from a bigger school are going to have a different experience than someone who maybe had a went to a smaller school like me. Obviously, I still listened to what they had to say about college but I really didn't pay too much attention to what they had to say and I just wanted to see for myself and have my own experience in college.  Christmas Break Plans           For Christmas Break I'm going home for the break which I'm really excited to do because I love the Christmas holiday it's one of my favorite seasons. The first week of Christmas I'm going to be spending it with my family because we like to do a lot of activities during Christmas my grandparents and my aunt and uncle usually go to see a movie as a family and then go out for dinner afterward. It's been a family tradition as long as I've been alive and we always stick to it. We also like to play board games which always gets very competitive especially when you have 5 siblings that all have played sports so no one likes to lose. There is always that one cheater in the family as well but in this case, there are two, and that's my dad and my Oma they love to cheat and we always catch them cheating.  Gym workout      Since the soccer season has ended I've recently been going to the gym to lift weights. It has been very beneficial for me because coming into college I didn't know how physical college soccer would be compared to high school soccer. I used to go to the gym a lot during high school and after going for a while I really saw improvement in my physique but really in my speed, I was becoming a lot faster and quicker off my feet. The reason I was focusing more on my speed was that High school soccer was more about speed and not physicality and I thought college soccer would be the same. But I was totally wrong and I saw myself really struggling in that a lot. So I brought it upon myself to really start gaining more muscle in my body so I wasn't getting pushed off the ball as easily and was standing my ground.      I've been focusing more on my lower body because It'll definitely help better with me standing my ground having a lot better bala...

 Off Season            Since my first season of college soccer is over there is a lot of off time for me now since I don't have daily practices and games. What I'm doing to keep myself in shape is playing for the soccer club that I've been on since I was 10 years old. You probably are wondering if I'm able to do that or is against NCAA rules. It is not against NCAA rules for d3 but it is for d2 and d1. The reason that I want to train with them is because its a lot of other college kids and ex-college soccer players so it's definitely very beneficial for me. I also want to keep up my fitness and be in even better shape for next season.      Another reason that I'm practicing with my old club is because recently it turned from a normal NPL team to an international academy.  Finals week    Now that Finals are coming up soon I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it because I think it makes me less stressed when I tend to talk about it. So I have 3 finals this semester and for me, I would say that is very doable because when I was in high school I would have  5 or 6 finals every semester and that was a lot and was very time-consuming. One of my classes is online so I would definitely say it'll be easier and one of my classes is open note so that hopefully won't be too hard. Then for my last final, it's just a normal written test so it's more like reality. For my classes, I've really been studying because I take pride in my grades and it just feels good when you do good on tests.     How I've been studying for my finals is I've been creating study guides for all my classes and asking my teachers what will be on the finals to make sure I'm studying the correct chapters and work.  Thanksgiving Break      Over Thanksgiving break, I did a lot of fun things in that short amount of time. So first of all I went home on Sunday because my class schedule was very flexible and made it very easy for me to go home earlier than usual. So when I got home on Sunday I saw a lot of different changes to my house because usually, my dad goes on his yearly hunting trip with my brothers and his friends so usually my mom does some fixing up to the house. When I got home our family room TV was very small and that's usually where the whole family watches movies and shows so there was a 70-inch TV instead of a 35 and it was really nice to have a bigger and nicer-looking TV. Then I helped my mom paint the laundry room and do all the walls and the cabinets in there because the whole laundry room was outdated and that was really nice to see the final product.     During the week a lot of my friends came home for Thanksgiving so it was really nice getting back...

First college soccer experience Recently I have just finished wrapping up my first college soccer season. Overall I would give my first college soccer experience a success. The reason I would give my first season success is that as a team we exceeded expectations yes we might not have made it that far in the national tournament but we played our hearts out that final game because we had given so much this season and really focused during the season and we really wanted to move forward. As a team we were ranked 4th in the nation late in the season and coming into the season we were ranked 20th in the preseason poll so we really played our hearts out. We also made it to the NCAA D3 national tournament and finally clinched the first spot in our CCIW conference. Now personally how I would rate myself in my first season.
