Finals Prep

 Finals week

  Now that Finals are coming up soon I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it because I think it makes me less stressed when I tend to talk about it. So I have 3 finals this semester and for me, I would say that is very doable because when I was in high school I would have  5 or 6 finals every semester and that was a lot and was very time-consuming. One of my classes is online so I would definitely say it'll be easier and one of my classes is open note so that hopefully won't be too hard. Then for my last final, it's just a normal written test so it's more like reality. For my classes, I've really been studying because I take pride in my grades and it just feels good when you do good on tests.

    How I've been studying for my finals is I've been creating study guides for all my classes and asking my teachers what will be on the finals to make sure I'm studying the correct chapters and work. I think that is really important because you don't want to be studying something that's not going to be on the final and wasting your time. I also tend to study a lot better when I'm listening to music and alone so no distractions and it is focusing all my attention on my work. I also turn my phone and do not disturb so my phone doesn't distract me. I also like to do all my work on paper i feel as if I retain the information a lot better than on technology.

    It is also very important to get a lot of rest before you take your finals the reason I say that is because it's very important that you are focused. It is also very important that you eat as well because you want to make sure that you are getting enough energy to keep studying and be able to keep yourself in check. I also think that it's important for people to take breaks because if you do it for long stints you aren't retaining as much information as you would want. When you're studying it's very important to take care of yourself to do good on these finals and be happy with yourself.

First Semester Of College

 First Semester Of College Recap                 For it being my first semester of college I would overall say it was a success. I came into college honestly not knowing what to expect, to be honest really. The reason I didn't know what to expect is because all these people tell me all this stuff about college and their experiences. Yes, they have been through college already and they have more experience than me but everyone ones experience in college is a lot different people from a bigger school are going to have a different experience than someone who maybe had a went to a smaller school like me. Class Expectations for writing

 Hi, my name is will Mayer! This is my first year at North Central. This blog will be for my CARD 101 class. For my class expectations in this class, I want to become a better writer and extend my thoughts in writing instead of being very vague with my writing. In high school I really struggled in writing, because I feel that I wasn't really understanding what the author was getting at. Now that I'm in college that's very key to understand, because the writing level will be higher and there will a lot of information being thrown at you.
