College Experience



 My College Experience

So its been about a month here at North Central and I just want to share my experience as of now. First ill be talking about my classes. I am very pleased with the classes I have a lot of people I know in my classes as well I like my professors a lot they're all very nice and very understanding. Some of the classes are a little challenging but they're very interesting. Some of the classes are card 101, Stones and Bones which is basically anthropology, psychology and then history  which is more directed on Lincolns and the Civil War which is a very interesting class. For a first semester in college these classes are very good.

Secondly, I will be talking about how its been playing for the soccer team. It has been super fun playing for the soccer team, I've made so many friends on the soccer team and the upper classman on the team have really been super helpful for making the transition. At the start is took sometime adjusting to college soccer but now I'm finally getting into the swing of things. It defiantly is very demanding on your body and you really need to take care of your of body and get treatment. Also its just fun because the team does really become like your second family and you love seeing them everyday.

 First College Goal I'm going to talk about my first ever soccer goal for north central and how much it meant to me. So I scored my first ever soccer goal against Carthage College last Saturday on family weekend. The reason that it meant so much to me not only was it my first goal but it was also in front of my family and friends. My grandma was there to see it and my grandmother hasn't really been feeling well recently so it really meant a lot to me that she came and supported me at my game. I didn't play that much in the game but I did play the last 15 minutes in the game and in those 15 minutes I scored and also got an assist. First Semester Of College

 First Semester Of College Recap                 For it being my first semester of college I would overall say it was a success. I came into college honestly not knowing what to expect, to be honest really. The reason I didn't know what to expect is because all these people tell me all this stuff about college and their experiences. Yes, they have been through college already and they have more experience than me but everyone ones experience in college is a lot different people from a bigger school are going to have a different experience than someone who maybe had a went to a smaller school like me. Class Expectations for writing

 Hi, my name is will Mayer! This is my first year at North Central. This blog will be for my CARD 101 class. For my class expectations in this class, I want to become a better writer and extend my thoughts in writing instead of being very vague with my writing. In high school I really struggled in writing, because I feel that I wasn't really understanding what the author was getting at. Now that I'm in college that's very key to understand, because the writing level will be higher and there will a lot of information being thrown at you. I feel that one way that will help me is rereading and taking notes on what I read so then I can grasp what I just read. I also feel that if I start writing more and more I can better my writing skills and expand my thoughts in my writing.
